I Love Switzerland!!!!!!!!!!

As I sit under the apple tree in the kids yard, I'm serenaded by cow bells...love that sound!

That's me yesterday, again under the apple tree, taking a cat nap for about 30 minutes (after being up for 30+ hours). Took a walk in the canton forest behind the house before the nap, went out to eat, took another walk in the canton forest after the nap.

After being up for about 37 hour...I had to sleep.

Ringgold Quilt Shop Roadtrip

On the 5th of June, four cars full of quilt shoppers headed to Ringgold, Georgia to check out Sew Be It Quilt Shop.  A little over a year ago it was destroyed, along with a good portion of Ringgold, in a tornado.  The town and the shop have come a long way in a years time.

As you can see from the bags that everyone has, it was a successful shopping trip...a good time was had by all!

Next Tuesday, we will have our annual picnic at ETC Park on Legion Road.  We will meet at 11:00 a.m. and bring a dish to pass.

Live At The Shop Hop....Again

Sharon and Chuck did the Shop Hop on the motorcycle and made Ellijay their last stop. Sharon won two drawings while at the Quilt Shop On The Square...and they were her third and fourth wins for the day. Sharon will be buying a lottery ticket!

North Georgia Quilt Trail

Yes, it's true!!...we have the beginning of a quilt trail here in picturesque Ellijay, Georgia. The first quilt block is up already in downtown Ellijay and more will be appearing!

The vision for the trail is to extend beyond Ellijay and hopefully beyond Gilmer County. If you want to find out more or may want to become a part of the trail, please visit the North Georgia Quilt Trail website.

Raffle Quilt and Shop Hop News

Our 2012 Raffle Quilt has been completed and we will start selling tickets during the North Georgia Shop Hop, May 10th thru the 12th.

We will have the quilt displayed and a table set-up at The Quilt Shop On The Square, in Ellijay.

Meeting At The Quilt Shop

Our March classroom meeting is going on NOW at The Quilt Shop On The Square. We have a lot of newbies and Pam (owner) is going over proper techniques.

Woo Hoo It's 2012!!!!

I'll be great to get together again....can you believe it's been a month!  After our Christmas Luncheon, we don't meet for the rest of the year so everyone can get ready for the Holidays and our first meeting for 2012 was cancelled due to school cancellation (snow in high country).

We will have our business meeting for January and then, members who will be doing the Brazilian Embroidery class, will stay and have our introduction to the embroidery technique.
